BREAKING NEWS! Manatees Flock to See Capitol Museum Service’s Exhibit Work at the Florida Power and Light Eco Discovery Center


The mercury dropped to a chilly 43 degrees early Tuesday in the city — the coldest temperature recorded at the airport this winter and one that left more than just South Florida’s human residents trying to stay warm. More than 60 manatees lolled in Florida Power & Light’s Manatee Lagoon, where the water was an inviting 86 degrees and offered a warm sanctuary on a morning that was 15 degrees cooler than what’s normal for this time of year.
